Josh began fashion design school in San Francisco with a heavy influence on the “edgy lifestyle” and the ever so popular “skull” icon. While studying the art of Cut and Sew, he was in search of the next best thing that resembled his influences and personality. The clothing market was completely saturated with skulls and abused t shirts covered in ink, he needed something else. Dating back, he remember his girlfriend bought him a “Von Dutch Belt buckle” and on the back it was stamped King Baby Studio. He quickly googled King Baby Studio and was blown away by the silver jewelry that was being crafted. From there he fell in love with jewelry, which was what he considered, “next level” and immediately quit the craft of Cut and Sew and opened ROCKSTAR SILVER (formerly Morte Riches). During the existence of the Rockstar Show room, he taught himself the craft of jewelry design. Most of the designs you see in his collection evolve from past experiences and everyday influences. The MERCY on ME icon is the “Daggered Heart that represents “LOYALTY”. The meaning of the icon means that, one will do whatever it takes to remain loyal to another under no circumstance.
